Our Services
General Anesthesia Dentistry for Children
When a child cannot tolerate dental treatment in the office and treatment must be completed due to pain, infection, trauma, or many cavities, general anesthesia lets us complete all of it safely in one visit.
What We Provide
General Anesthesia
General anesthesia is given by anesthesiologists in a hospital or surgical center. It is the strongest type of sedation, so all of your child’s treatment can be completed safely in one visit.
It may be right for your child if they have:
- Many cavities
- Dental pain or infection
- A dental injury or trauma
- Trouble tolerating treatment in a dental office
When milder sedation isn’t enough
Many dental offices use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or oral sedation. These are milder, work best for short visits, and need a child who can cooperate. Dr. Jurado focuses on the children these options can’t help, providing care under general anesthesia.
Schedule a Consultation
If your child has multiple cavities, dental pain, infection, or trauma, and you feel a papoose, nitrous oxide, or oral sedation may not be enough, call our team to schedule a consultation.
